The Calling: June 7

A meeting in the Church Hall on Sunday 7 June at 6.30 pm.

Music from our Praise Band with tea, coffee and delicious home baking in a cafe church setting.

Rev James Gatherer writes: God is called many names in the Bible – Lord God Almighty, Most High God, Lord of Hosts; and many titles too – Rock, Judge, Fortress.

The Lord Jesus used none of them. Instead, he taught his followers to know God as Abbah – meaning Father.

It is an Aramaic word used of someone who is loved, trusted and relied upon. It is still in use today in parts of the Middle East where children use it of their fathers or pupils a beloved teacher.

Abu’nan is the theme of our next Cafe Church held in the church hall on June 7 at
6.30 pm.

These are gentle, safe meetings and as always everyone will be made welcome.
